Chicago Business Seminars
LEADERSHIP LESSONS FROM THE MOVIES
OVERVIEW: In this interactive seminar we utilize movie clips in order to spur conversation on various leadership and management techniques. We start with a list of some basic characteristics of strong leaders. As each movie clip is played, we discuss which technique was used and how it ultimately worked for the actor. This is a fun way to get managers thinking about actively managing their teams. We also explore why integrity, principals, uncompromising standards, and consistency are trademarks of great leaders. This program is a diving board into making managers more effective in establishing themselves as great leaders.
RECOMMENDATIONS: This seminar works best with groups of 20 to 50 participants. As the group exceeds 50 participants, there is less interaction of questions and answers. This presentation can be done in 2 hours. Expanding the time allows for more personal question and answer from participants. We would recommend never exceeding 3 hours for this presentation. We recommend doing this presentation at either the start, or end of the business day. For all of our presentations we recommend a well lit, comfortable, cool room, with minimal distractions. This presentation also requires proper video monitors for the group as well as proper audio amplification. Chicago Business Seminars provides content and DVD player with RCA or S-video output.
FEES: As each of our seminars are customized, the fees may vary based upon the amount of preparation time needed. A good starting point would be to expect to pay $1000 for 20 participants for the 2 hour seminar. As the number of participants goes up, the cost per participant drops. This fee would include the pre-seminar meeting, custom preparation, reasonable travel time, etc. Extraneous fees, if any, would be discussed at the pre-seminar meeting. These could include additional travel expenses, facility rental, support materials, etc.
